. Island of Textures

Temporary installation in the Croatian island of Losinj, known as the "island of aromas".
The forest containing the pieces was planted over 100 years ago, to support the island vegetation, the symbiosis that occurred between old native vegetation and newly planted coniferous trees have produced the current rich forest environment.
All textile pieces displayed within the forest have been created from natural fibers and dyed/stained with organic colors: hemp, cotton ans silk colored with tea, rust and indigo (woad) in our Brooklyn atelier and blend within the environment chroma of leaves, bark, twigs and sky.
